Teak Dining Set

We have started work on sanding clean a teak veneer dining table and 6 dining chairs. When finished sanding and cleaned, the pieces will be oiled. The seats and backs will be recovered before replacing. The flat surfaces of the chairs were first sanded with a palm sander and then re-sanded by hand to get all rounded edges. The veneer table top was sanded with a stroke sander.

Antique pump organ restoration

This is my wife's organ. It had been refinished by an amateur before we started our lives togather. Anyhow, I wanted to strenghted the finish before I carried it back to our home. we will make the musical parts after the finishing work is done. The date on the piece is 1918. Before adding finish, the missing oak curlys were re-carved and stained to match. The existing finish was lightly sanded, a sealer applied, 2 coats of SG finish applied.

Antique pump organ restoration

Work began today on the antique pump organ that is housed in an oak cabinet. Much dust had to be vacuumed before any assessment for repairs could begin. Some leather baffle parts will need to be made as well as new straps for the peddles to power the pump. The organ has a top section that holds the music board and a beveled mirror. We will be enhancing the thin existing finish to a hand rubbed quality finish.

Ashley Furniture console table & bookcase

The repair on the Ashley Furniture console was completed and
returned this afternoon. The photo does not give justice to the excellant color match.

While at the store showroom, there were a couple of pieces that needed some attention. The first was an Ashley Furniture bookcase.

The afternoon ended with the Pennsylvania House Classic cherry tripple dresser.

Paula Deen Home coffee table repair

The damage to the top was a surface scuff in the lacquer finish which did not require any additional filling. A little sanding with 500g paper, blending with 0000 steel wool, cleaning the residue, and re coating with the proper sheen.
